Girls’ Voices

Girls’ Voices is funded by the Chrysalis Foundation. It is a weekly club that meets at Merrill that is for girls and about girls! The club teaches girls how to use their voices through building leadership, resilience, connectedness, and economic empowerment. Our evaluation results show that our group has a positive impact on girls and they demonstrate significant results in areas such as problem-solving, inter-personal relationships, goal-setting, and healthy lifestyles. Girls’ Voices participants have better work habits, improved academic performance, gains in self-efficacy, improved GPA, and improved school attendance. The group is free and do lots of fun activities such as games, arts & crafts, and field trips.

There will be an informational meeting on Wednesday, September 4th at 3:30 in room 212 for girls interested in joining Girls’ Voices.
